Tarts! Not Taxes.

By admin in Uncategorized

It’s that time of year again that we dread more than anything.  Today, we put away the Pantone books and pulled out the calculators.  It’s tax time.  The only way we see getting through this painful stretch is with something sweet to fuel us.  And a lemon tart certainly did the trick. We put our own twist on it with a rosemary, pinenut crust, and I have to say, I think it was a winner.  Now, if we can just be so lucky with our taxes…

Who Let the Dogs Out?!

By admin in Uncategorized

After 2 wonderful years of being in business, LMNOP has finally carved out some time to shoot all of our newest work…and update our website! Here are some snaps from the shoot. We decided to keep things simple and shoot in my apartment. Which was secretly just an excuse for us to be able to make a delicious lunch and, best of all, have our 2 trusty assistants with us. Miss Frida May and Mr Sasha. Those are some good lookin beasts!

AND a huge Thank You to the talented artist Phillip Angert for taking the amazing shots of our work. Check back soon for the updates on the site…or friend us on Facebook and we’ll keep you posted!

Holy Ravioli

By admin in Uncategorized

There’s nothing like homemade pasta to make any day brighter. LMNOP took a pasta making class at The Brooklyn Kitchen a while back and figured it was time to try out the recipe ourselves! The good news…it’s easy and amazingly tasty. The bad news…you will certainly have a new calorie filled addiction. This day we made ravioli with butternut squash filling and a simple butter sage sauce. OooooooWeeeee! Out of this world. Now back to work.

The Smith Midtown

The Smith Midtown

The Smith Midtown

Last week we spent the day at the new midtown location of The Smith. Over the past 6 months we’ve been working on the rebranding of the restaurant, designing all the pieces: logos, menus, collateral, website etc.

The new location on 2nd Avenue and 51st is an amazing space. We were lucky enough to work with the talented Quentin Bacon on photographing the retaurant and the food. Which meant we sampled just about everything on the menu. Still our favorite: roasted tomato soup!

Here are a few quick snaps from the day. We’ll be posting all of the work shortly on our website. In the meantime check out Quentin’s photos and the new look of The Smith.

Colors Sweet Enough to Eat!

By admin in Uncategorized

This entry is a little bit of a departure from the usual entries – but we couldn’t resist posting these sweet pics! Spring is here and with it brings back all the colors we love. I spent some time with my family last weekend and put my little chicks (Olivia, Grace and Abby) to work, making giant homemade pom-poms and colored eggs galore. Spring has certainly sprung…hooray!

Sweet Pea

What can we say, we love soup.  And split pea is one of our favorites. But this time of year you can actually get fresh peas. So we finished off a fairly classic split pea recipe by adding fresh English peas and mint at the end. They made our old favorite even better!

Baby Love

By admin in Uncategorized

Two of our favorite people ever are expecting a sweet babe very soon, and LMNOP volunteered to throw the baby shower. Invites were designed, decorations were hung, and of course a ton of food was made. All in all, a great day!

Congrats to Mike and Jenn. Can’t wait to meet the little one!

Clamtastic

By admin in Uncategorized

Who’s ready for summer? We are!

LMNOP is packing up the Brooklyn office and moving to Montauk for the summer. We took a quick trip out last week to find the perfect office and also happened to find the perfect clam chowder. Luckily, it was their opening day of the season so everything was super fresh and amazing. I have a feeling there will be plenty of trips to this spot this summer!

Taste it for yourself
